52 Lives Collaboration

Years 2 and 3 joined forces to participate in an online Kindness Workshop, organised by the charity 52 Lives and their School of Kindness.
Pupils discovered that kindness has three qualities – being friendly, generous and considerate. They were fascinated to learn about the science of kindness and the positive impact it has on our physical and mental health. The children loved saying thoughtful and kind things to each other and smiles were abundant around Maple Hall.
To put their kindness into action further, each pupil thought of someone they knew who would appreciate a little extra kindness. They then spent some time making something special for those people in the Year 3 classrooms. We are sure that their efforts will have warmed many hearts.
Finally, the children looked at the quote ‘be the change that you want to see in the world’ and decided that they can help to create the kind of world we all want to live in. What a kindhearted group Years 2 and 3 are.
