This past week the Spanish Department has had an exciting new addition to its internationality. We now have a television broadcasting the news in Spanish. This has allowed us to be up to date on the news and up to date on our Spanish. Recently we have covered the fashion in Spain and its music traditions, we have looked at the art of flamenco and its origins from the peoples of India, North Africa and the roaming gypsies. The Spanish fashion designers such as Zara, Mango, and Adolfo Dominquez y Biscuit they hold all the keys to the various fashions wardrobes, trendy, sophisticated, exuberant but also original, antique or traditional. The fashion in Spain has been in existence since 1975 in the form of Zara which was set up shortly after the death of Franco and the liberation provided by it. It has since then been the reigning fashion designer. After the Christmas break Olivia Lyons and I shall be meeting Derek Bacon the Chief Examiner of AQA. After meeting him we shall attend a lecture upon how to write an essay which I for one am looking forward to.
